Jørn O. Jøntvedt, norsk samtidskunstner

Jørn O. Jøntvedt

Jørn O. Jøntvedt (b. 1965) is a Norwegian contemporary artist. He received his art education from the National College of Art and Design, and the School of Visual Arts in New York.

Jørn is heavily inspired by nature, and in his works, you will often find either mountains, forests, or both. He enjoys experimenting with various materials, from wood, acrylic, old car headlights, materials from boats, and plaster. When working with wood, he hand-carves the motifs. This is a process that requires many hours of work.

Jørn creates everything from paintings, sculptures, and installations, and his art has been described as a "postmodern, romantic, and landscape combination."

Jørn has had two solo exhibitions with us at Galleri M35, with nearly sold-out art exhibitions in both 2022 and 2023. The art exhibition from 2022 has been digitized and can be viewed here.
