Shipping and delivery of art

When you purchase art from M35, you can collect your order from the gallery, receive free local delivery or choose delivery by Posten or courier. The available delivery options and final shipping price are shown at checkout based on the size and weight of the artwork and the delivery address.

Collection from the gallery

You can collect your artwork free of charge from Galleri M35 at Tjuvholmen. We will notify you when your order is ready. Orders can be collected during the gallery’s regular opening hours.

Free local delivery

For purchases over NOK 5,000, we offer free home delivery within a 15 km radius of Olav Selvaags plass 4 at Tjuvholmen.

We will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery time.

Delivery with Posten

Smaller artworks and art prints are shipped with Posten.

Current shipping prices:

Unframed art prints shipped in a tube: NOK 149
Smaller art prints on canvas: NOK 259
Framed works with glass and other larger shipments that can be sent with Posten: NOK 559

The normal delivery time with Posten is 2–5 business days from the date the order is dispatched.

Courier delivery within Norway

Large or fragile artworks, including paintings, larger canvas prints, aluminium prints and framed works, are delivered to your door by courier.

The shipping price depends on the delivery address and is shown at checkout:

Akershus: NOK 800
Buskerud and Østfold: NOK 1,100
Agder and Vestfold: NOK 1,300
Innlandet and Telemark: NOK 1,500
Rogaland and Vestlandet: NOK 1,700
Møre og Romsdal/ Trøndelag: NOK 2,200
Nordland: NOK 2,800
Troms and Finnmark: NOK 3,000

Courier delivery normally takes 2–7 days, depending on the destination within Norway. Once the artwork is ready, we usually require 2–3 days for careful packing and preparation.

The price may be lower for smaller paintings or delivery to a business address. Contact us at post@m35.no and we will check the price with the courier.

Production and processing time

If the artwork is in stock, it will normally be dispatched within 0–2 business days.

To ensure quality and avoid overproduction, some art prints are produced after an order has been placed. The print must then be signed and numbered by the artist. Information about this is provided on the relevant product page. If it will take more than one week before the order can be dispatched, we will contact you by email.

Art prints on aluminium have a minimum production time of eight days.

How we pack the artwork

Unframed art prints are shipped in a protective tube.

Smaller framed works with glass and larger canvas prints are wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in a thick, reinforced cardboard box. Large and fragile artworks are packed individually according to their size, material and method of transport.

Insurance and damage during transport

Shipments with Posten are insured for up to NOK 10,000. Courier deliveries are normally insured for up to NOK 50,000, depending on the courier.

Shipments with DHL can be insured for up to NOK 100,000. If you would like your order to be shipped with DHL, please contact us before the order is dispatched.

If your artwork is damaged during transport, please contact us as soon as possible. Keep all the packaging and send us photographs of the artwork, the damage and the packaging. M35 will handle the claim with the carrier.

International shipping

We ship art to several countries in Europe, the United States and Canada. The available shipping options depend on the destination, size, weight and whether the artwork can be shipped in a tube.
