Animals take better care of children than humans

Bjørge Rødfjell mainly works with oil painting and interprets the figurative expression with expressionistic feelings and impressions from past, present and future. His paintings are often dominated by portraits of people with clear messages in the choice of motif, background, words, and colours. Through his education, he has acquired solid knowledge of techniques, materials, and methods used in old classical paintings, and he largely uses these in his own work. He often combines these techniques with modern painting techniques and elements from street art and pop art in his artworks.
