An Doan Nguyen (b. 1978, Phuc Long, Vietnam) received his education from Wimbledon College Of Art, Bachelor of Fine Art, and Art History at the University of Bergen, among other institutions. His work has been acquired by several major national and international entities, and he has adorned various private and public buildings.
Nguyen's paintings can be described within the photorealistic genre. The artist's works are often highly detailed, and the brushstrokes are meticulously blended. Light and shadow are carefully considered and used in a dramatic and emphasizing manner. Contrasts and dramatic compositions can at times be likened to the masters of the Baroque era, such as Rembrandt, Caravaggio, and Velázquez.
