Laila Maria Mæland

Laila Maria Mæland is a Norwegian contemporary artist and illustrator based in Bergen. She creates tension and contrast in her work through the use of colours, brushstrokes, and by balancing the abstract and the figurative. She is inspired by the human form, faces, eyes, and how facial expressions and gazes convey emotions and tell a story.
