Vegard Blomberg
Vegard Blomberg (b. 1973) is a Norwegian visual artist with a background as a graphic designer. He is a multidisciplinary artist with experience as a composer, lyricist, filmmaker, music producer, and songwriter, and has worked full-time as a visual artist since 2012.
Blomberg's artistic expression is broad, but he particularly focuses on action painting and pop art. His works are characterized by strong colors, balance, and composition, and he draws primary inspiration from literature and music. Stylistically, he moves between abstract, figurative, modern, and postmodern contemporary art, while his literary and musical practice touches on genres such as beat, surrealism, dystopian fiction, post-rock, sub pop, noise, and electronica.
As a visual artist, Blomberg works with a wide range of techniques and materials, often using oil, acrylic, and charcoal on canvas as a starting point. He is keen to explore the possibilities of art across media and disciplines, and views the connections between visual art, music, and text as a holistic creative practice.
Vegard Blomberg has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Norway and internationally, including at Galleri M35, Soli Brug, Galleri Røed, and Galleri Art Design, as well as several other galleries and art venues.
