Paul Dailey

Pål Dailey Christoffersen (1994) is a Norwegian pop art artist from Larvik, now residing in Oslo.

His interest in drawing and creating started early. It began with constantly filled notebooks at school, but it wasn't until after a year of studying to become a nurse that he realized what he truly wanted to do was draw and paint. He then quit his nursing studies and has since completed a two-year education at Strykejernet art school.

The inspiration for his art comes from several places, but the foundation is the many cartoons and series he grew up with. His art therefore plays heavily on humor, colors, clear lines, and the idea that there are no rules for what can happen.

For him, art is a way of showing others what he loves to do. Pål describes it like this: "When I'm working on a painting, I sort of disconnect from everything around me, which I really enjoy. So I would also say it's a kind of meditation that makes me focus on what I'm doing in that very moment."

Pål most often uses markers and acrylic paint on canvas or paper, but also enjoys challenging himself with new materials and techniques when creating his colorful pop art motifs.
