Sister Delaunay
Kunst av Edvarda Braanaas
The art print “Sister Delaunay” by Norwegian contemporary artist Edvarda Braanaas, signed and numbered in a limited edition of 150 copies. The print is available in four different sizes and is printed on two different media:
- Matte 308 gsm fine art paper
- 340 gsm canvas
“Sister Delaunay” is a tribute to Robert Delaunay’s iconic 1930 work “Joie de Vivre” and to Orphism – a modernist art movement that emerged from Cubism and elevated color as an independent form of expression.
Orphism was characterized by strong color contrasts, rhythmic compositions, and circular forms. In “Sister Delaunay,” Edvarda Braanaas has created her own figurative interpretation of the abstract movement. The result is a colorful and energetic work that conveys optimism and faith in a new world full of possibilities.
