Stian Borgen

Stian Borgen (1984) is a contemporary Norwegian artist. Inspired by 1980s New York graffiti art, he has created his own expression and can be described as an artist within neo-expressionism.

His artistic language is expansive and dynamic, with fragmentation and reorganisation at its core. The starting point for each painting is usually a head, but subjected to the colouristic process, it often ends up in fragments. Borgen's artworks are intended to invite dialogue, offering space to feel and interpret, to love and to hate.
