Jan Olav Forberg is a trained visual artist who has worked professionally for thirty years in many classical techniques, as well as with street art-related expressions using both freehand and stencil work. He is committed to using the experience from traditional painting and graphic techniques to create new possibilities where street art meets tradition. Jan Olav Forberg is a member of the Association of Norwegian Visual Artists and has received support for his work from, among others, Arts Council Norway, NBK, Norwegian Printmakers, and the City of Oslo. Forberg has participated in numerous juried and solo exhibitions throughout Norway and his works have been acquired by private and public collections.
