Skiing

Nicolas Scauri aka Skio is a street artist from France and his first murals appeared in 1993 in the Nice region. From murals he moved on to figurative romantic subjects fed by his pop and television culture.

Skio has since developed and now he mixes geometric shapes and realistic portraits with hidden eyes, questions about our presence in the urban landscape by creating new modern and harmonious aesthetics.

Inspired by Skio's love of the Bauhaus movement and Surrealism, his creations have their own style that aims for a rare balance between geometry, anatomy and color through the exploration of the complexity of minimalism. Enhanced by Skio's skills with spray paint as well as brushes and digital tools, they range from large formats on city walls to canvases in his workshop, as well as spatial installations.

Skio has been shown at a number of festivals all over the world - Paris, London, Mexico, Shanghai. This makes Skio's creations, thanks to his sensitivity and sense of juxtaposition, one of today's great upcoming artists.
